Empowering designers in becoming part of a true design-developer collaboration
The rapid growth of UX/UI/Product Design has led to a gap in-between designers and engineers. Said gap manifests itself in divergence of tech stack, tools, vocabulary and understanding principle concepts. I truly belive that reducing this gap will result in better design, a more efficient process for creating digital products, and raise of designer with a first-class relation with engineering team.
As designers I think we should play a key role in minimizing the gap. It’s time to take responsibility over the quality of the cooperation between us and engineers. Empowering developers for more effective deliveries, will inevitably influence our own understanding of the digital products and development process.
And this is precisely why I’ve created this resource repository.
But you may ask — what’s in for me?
Firstly, it’s a great experience design-wise to create such platform. Secondly, through this project I had a unique opportunity to put myself into position where I’m forced to reevaluate stuff I though I already knew quite well.
Last and foremost, I relied heavily on the internet community when I was growing as a designer myself 😎, and now it’s time to give back 😇.
